The University of Texas at San Antonio’s Women’s Basketball team welcomes their new head coach, Karen Aston. Aston, former head coach at Texas, North Texas and Charlotte, was named the 10th head coach in program history. Aston has been consistently recognized as one of the top coaches in the nation. She was one of four finalists for the Naismith Women’s College Coach of the Year award in 2017 and was one of 10 semifinalists for the honor in 2018. Aston also earned Big 12 Coach of the Year accolades in 2017.
