The Witte and the local community celebrated a new cultural landmark in San Antonio, the Mays Family Center. Connecting the urban landscape of Broadway, with the historic, natural landscape of the San Antonio River, the Mays Family Center is a place that reveals the beauty of the land, sky and water along the banks of the San Antonio River. The $15 million building is a center for unprecedented exhibitions, with a 19,000 square-foot museum quality space for special events, including outside space on the upper most bend of the San Antonio River, graced by giant Cypress, Oak and Pecan trees.
